Mommyhood

Ahhh, It's mother's day!  My favorite thing to be, a Mom.   My house is filled with chaos every day, I have stains all over my carpets, toys in every room of the house, dirty dishes constantly in the sink, toilet seats left up, haven't slept past 8am since 2005, vacations are all "kid"  friendly, meltdowns at dinner time almost daily, not living in the house of my dreams, phonecalls at 7:30 in the am that she locked herself out of her car, and I have been dieting on an off for 6 years trying to get my old body back....people look at steve and I and  think we are completely nuts for having a  house of 5(+1) and yes it is completely nuts, and at times overwhelming, but something I wouldn't change for anything.  I love watching the kids grow and seeing them learn everyday, it  is worth so much more than a large clean house.  Here is a card from  our 9 year old Foster daughter:

Happy Mothers Day
Thanks for loveing me and Emily. I hope you adopt Emily and I. also I hope you have a grate mothers day!

Priceless! That is why I live in this craziness! She has come so far since coming in January, in learning about family and love, and about God and our saviour, her heart is being changed in so many ways, and it gives me so much joy to see her growing in Christ!   What an honor it is to be called mom.

Happy Mother's day to all my mommy friends and I just Thank my God that He has given me the privledge of Mommy!

Editied to add:  So since writing this, My husband comes downstairs, and says we have no Hot water, (the hot water has been acting up for weeks) my nine year old spilled a whole container of pickled eggs all over my kitchen, and little E has been crying uncontrollably for 15 mins....yes i flipped out and yelled, and was ready to leave the house,  ironic since i just posted how much i love it....LOL!  I did have some chocolate to help out though:)

Birthday and Blessings

Happy Monday!   We had Fawn's 9th birthday party on friday evening. She had a blast! 4 of her friends from church came, and then immediate family members. We had pizza from CiCi and Barbie cake. It was a sunny day and they were able to play outside.  I had lunch with her at school and took her in some cookie cake to share with her class.  The day before we let her skip school and she chose to go to the childrens musuem for a fun day.   I hope it was a special birthday for her. She had a little meltdown after the party, where she was calling CYS to move her from our home because she hates having brothers.  It was brief only about 20 mins, I am sure it was because there has still been NO contact with mom, it is hard for Fawn to cope with, normally she just ignores it all and says nothing.  Her dad called and wanted a visit with her on saturday, they met at Burger King. Steve took her, and he said that her dad wants custody and seems to think he is going to get it.  I want her to stay with us, if they seperate her and emily it is going to be REALLY hard on her.  I pray that God keeps them together.

Speaking of the little ones, they are an absolute riot.  They are so cute together, they are just the Best of Buds. They walk around all day just putting on and off shoes, it is their favorite thing to do. Emily is just blossoming into such a sweet little girl, her crying episodes are fewer and fewer, mornings are always the worst, dunno why, but by lunch she is smiling and laughing!  She is such a joy...after 10:00, LOL!

Cayden has just about finished his kindergarten curriculum, we got the first grade stuff in the mail last thursday.   We have changed curriculums, I am hoping we like this new one a little better!   He can read some, and I am so excited for him to be able to read me stories. He loves math and science!   I wish i had more time to help him do fun experiments and stuff but with all the other little ones it is just too much of a challenge.

Bryson is counting down the days of preschool, he can't wait to be homeschooled and have his own computer!  He is going to be  a challenge for me, but hey BRING IT ON! LOL!

So enough about the kids...I am going to start and build my practice, I think it 's time!   I am sorta exctied about it, I really do love helping peoples pain!   My analysis machine has been in the shop since november, so I don't know that we will ever see it again, it is so frustrating b/c we have paid $26000 for it, we should've just threw that money away at this point. UGH. We have 8 more months of paying on it, and then that bill is over.

I have realized alot about myself and my friends since I have the foster kids.  I have realized alot of my friendships were superficial and unhealthy. :(  There are only a few people that have been there for me, and have been the support and encouragement that I need.  Going from 3 to 5 kids, is a challenge and alot of days I feel trapped in my house.  It is much easier to stay home and make sure they get their naps.

Well it's monday and the start of a new week!  Looking forward to Easter this weekend. Should be super fun with all the kiddos!

Chaos

Ahhhhh.....Monday is here again, sheesh where does time go? So, of course the weekend was eventful. Megan called me saturday at 9:00 am, her car wouldn't go in reverse, and she had dropped her friend and her 5 and 4 year old off at the dentist and had to go back and pick them up. SOOOO, i pack up all 5 kids truck to the office to adjust two patients, then take Megan to drop her car off, go to my sisters to drop off the three older kids, and go pick her friend up at the dentist. We get there a little before 11:00, and yeah they aren't ready yet, so me and the babies sit and wait till 11:20 and they finally are done.  I have to put a 4&5 year old who are limp as can be from being knocked out for their dental work, in the third row, yeah that was a lot of fun! LOL!   We head on to take them home, drop them off, then I stop and get gas, drop megan off and we are on our way home!   We get home at 12:40, Emme had fallenasleep in the car, so I took her up and put her in bed, then Faith refused to nap, Steve picked the kids up from Treasures and brought them home before going to back to work.

The boys have wanted to take karate for a while, well we found a place that offers it and was going to last thursday. Of all the days for it to be offered thurdsays are the worst!  Fawn gets home at 4:20 we eat a quick sandwich, I pile all 5 kiddos in the car and off to dance we go. It is from 5:00-6:15, karate would be from 6:45-7:15.  Well last thursday Faith didn't nap, so we decided to skip it so Faith could go to bed early.  I called the karate and they told me about a Sunday family class at 5:00!  Perfect!  Steve could take the three bigger kids.  So sunday he packs up the kids and takes them to class, however, the class was canceled last minute so once again no karate....sigh!  He takes them to get dinner and then goes and picks Megan up because we need to take her to work b/c her car is in the shop. (probably the transmission)

BUT  guess what?  It's just another Manic Monday....LOL and so the chaos starts all over!   I have 7 loads of laundry to put away, (yes I actually DID all the laundry in 1 day!) Oh and saturday night we were having family game night, playing Monopoly Jr.  All of a sudden Fawn looks at the floor b/w her and I and says Oh my gosh mom look!  Somehow the dog and cat managed to RIP up  3 foot of our new linoleum floor...i am sure it had to do with the bubble that my dad had left in the flooring. UGH so some how Steve needs to fit in time to put down a new floor.

well i guess I should go and put away the groceries I bought last night, and unload the dishwasher, and change the babies and get them ready for the day. Bryson has school today, Steve is taking half a day, and Megan is here after work, so she needs to go home and get some sleep.  CHEERS:)
